Should I move to US and be part of the rat race?
Have a few onsites and was wondering if i should quit amazon to study. i dont think i will last here ling anyways. should i quit to study ir nah
Quitting FAANG job to give yourself a slightly better chance at getting another FAANG job xD sounds like a bad idea. Just use all your free time to study, if you want it enough you’ll put in the time. Take PTO if you think you need more time. At the end of the day, no matter how hard you study, there is still a chance you get no offers and end up jobless.
Don't. Don't underestimate the amount of time it might take. And not having a job will just add more stress, which is never helpful.
I know people who've for done this to varying success. What I recommend, if you think you'll be fired anyway, milk that sob, just study all day at work, don't even be subtle about it, tell your manager about your upcoming interviews! Jk, just study at the office and keep it in the dl. What are they going to do? Fire you?
Interview process is stressful, but interview without job backup and money double the stress. Unless you have a strong mentality, don’t do it.
The floodgates are open right now. Lots of people apply for new jobs in January. I think you are underestimating how long it might take to actually get an offer.
my fav manager told me “Never Quit Your Job Before Getting Another Job Lined Up, if you need time, I can give you vacation”
Focus on not getting fired.
Where's the "Fuck No" option?
And where's the "fuck faang" option
I'd rather get fired then quit, leave with some money in my pocket.
Don’t quit any job to study for interviews. Landing a position has a lower probability than you keeping your job.
What if you might get fired
Just wait for severance then, it won’t make a difference for resign vs fired.
