1. Dividends are cash assuming you don't reinvest
2. Leverage on portfolio
TC: 95k
NW: 350k (went hard with crypto in 2020)
Hopefully somewhere between 5-10M
I’m planning on leaving my current joke of a company for something more decent soon so that’ll push me in the right direction too
This $85k/yr is incidentally below the ACA subsidy cliff, so my Bronze+HSA health plan costs me $400/mo for my family of three. Would be about $1300/mo without the subsidy. Thanks Obama!
I was an IC and a manager over the course of my career. Def preferred IC. I have no idea what if any work will be available to me after 5 years, especially if I don't keep my coding skills up. So far I have been unable to get motivated to work on them. Full disclosure I am mid-40s so 5 years from now I will sorta be on the cusp of "normal" retirement age anyway. Luckily I've saved enough and have a low enough spending rate that I don't think I'll need a high paying job, or any job really. My marginal utility of time left on Earth far exceeds my marginal utility of money at this point. But it's possible I might do work related to one of my hobbies (don't want to get into specifics).
And yes $150k is "all-in" - taxes, health insurance, and lumpy costs that I amortize over time (cars, home repairs, etc)
