For those who have broken into FAANG with a LC guide like Blind 75, do you think you’ll need to continue practicing in the future each time you switch jobs?

Gotta relearn dynamic programming every time.

    • The DP questions interviewers generally ask are not that hard. You start with a recursive solution, recognize there's repetitive work, then cache the results to avoid the repetition

Occasionally some interviewers won’t let you do recursive first (happened to me once) but yes usually they only ask the very easy dp questions so it’s worth learning

Just a refresher. I did around 200 problems in 2020s before interviews. This year I practiced for about two weeks, felt like I was basically 100% up to speed, and passed (Google).

  • That's the benefits of grinding LC first time. If you do it right, the next time you just need refreshers.
It took me 1 year of grinding from scratch, didn't even know how to implement DFS, BFS. But I did it the right way, now if I were to switch, 2 months is all I need

That’s where I’m at right now. 1 year is intimidating from the bottom 😬 when you say grinding Leetcode, do you mean casual practice, or a strict regimen?
      Apr 17
    • Strict regime. U dont need 2-3 hours daily, but you gotta stick to schedule.
Take a topic, learn its basics, do 10-15related LC and then that topic is ingrained in your memory. Next time you pick up that topic, you just need quick refresher

    I don’t wanna work this hard 😢

Please someone pay me $400k. My ds&a is shit, but I’ll show up with a smile every day, tell top notch jokes, and boost team morale.

I promise to grind LC for 4 months and appear for the FAANG interviews. My recursion skills are bad and that shows in my lack of ability to solve Trees and graphs.
