Hi Blinders
I received an offer from Meta and signed for full remote. Recruiter says NYC has a spot open if I want to take it.
Moving to NYC sounds scary but exciting. As a new grad I was worried that maybe starting fully remote would be detrimental for learning. I would save more by staying fully remote and closer to friends/family, but NYC might be a good opportunity for growth.
What would you do?
New TC: 190k(w/o perf bonus - if remote in TX. 212k+ relocation if NYC)
YOE: 3 months
Thanks!

My advice to you would be to take the NYC option for now. It will be a big change, but in a year or two, you'll have made a lot of friends and memories. Going to the office will make it easier to build that social circle.
You can then always go remote in the future. The company is pretty clear about a distributed workforce being here for the long run and I can't imagine it being a problem to make that switch in the future.
