I joined Google in the Bay Area 3 years ago. I had ~5-6 offers at the time, most notably from Netflix, Snowflake and Doordash.
I'm your average generalist Googler with 8 YOE & 360K TC. AMA!
EDIT: Thank you all, hope this helped :)

Thanks for the kind words, helps me feel better. Things are indeed out of our control and better to come to terms with it soon
Priorities include decent WLB (avg 40 hours/week, but occasional bursts ok), growth opportunities towards an architect role, no office politics, and better than industry compensation down the line.
Apart from that, focus on self improvement. Keep yourself healthy, and cut out any habits or activity that waste your time or don't contribute to your goals. Be consistent.
Beyond this, there's an overload of information on how to prepare for actual interviews :) All the best!
