I am thinking of joining new company on H1b transfer receipt and want to understand it's real risk.
Worst case if the transfer gets denied, I am pretty sure my previous team will be happy to have me back and I probably also get a 4 year match on the higher comp. But then most posts I have read, advise on joining only after transfer is approved and would like to know what am I missing.
I am consulting an immigration attorney but if there are people who have first hand experience about this, please chime in with your thoughts. Thanks!! #workvisa #h1b #h1btransfer #boomerang

I do see your point and have decided to wait it out. Thank you!
-First they will send you RFE (you will have 30-90 days to respond to RFE)
-Based on your RFE response, they will send one more RFE which is more like “RFE intend to deny” (another 90 days to respond)
-If they still don’t convince your response, then the will reject….
So, it will take quite sometime to reject. If you are confident that you can go back to previous team in the first RFE itself..
So - don’t waste money with consulting attorney..I have seen quite few cases with my friends…
