How does Amazon calculate the price of a single stock while awarding stock grant for new hire. Is it the price of the stock on the day of the offer or the preceding 30 days moving average

In my college they came to hire. They gave fixed number of stocks to everyone, recently one of my friend got an offer, he also got fixed number of stocks in offer letter.

Ohhh sorry I misread it as fixed number *for* stocks as in the price for the stock not of stocks.

I could be wrong but as I understand it if they give you 100k worth of RSU. You will only get the 100k when the shares vest. So it does not matter if shares go to 1 million a share. You will only get 100k worth of shares.

That does not directly answer your question. But what I am trying to say is that if they know they want to give you 100k, they can calculate the number of shares that would buy you at any time, and in the end, you will only get the 100k worth of shares, not the number of shares they initially calculated.

They offer you the number of stocks. If price goes up good on you, if it goes down then too bad.

Don't think they would once you sign your name. That's why they don't put the value in offer just x number.
