Multiple times Amazon recruiters asking me if I am interested in considering a role at Amazon while I am already late in the Amazon interview process.
Maybe for the system design interview I can suggest designing a system for recruiters regarding new hires? There can be a really cool feature that looks in a DB for the candidates name and returns a bool called ‘isAlreadyInterviewing’.
Also why is Amazon outsourcing all recruiting to India?
Thoughts?

My best guess is either they skipped that step or they couldn’t find you under the system given the data they had (like having a different legal name on the system).
I’m still amazed whenever I get to interview strong candidates. It’s like, by some miracle, those candidates saw past all the disorganization and bad rep Amazon has built lately, and still managed to be excited about interviewing with us.
Just had one of those candidates a few days ago (double ex-FAANG). I’m still shaking my head and wondering if the candidate will take the offer.
Plain and simple - there is a finite amount of tech talent, and although it is a growing industry, amazon consistently is not even seen as worth it to most seasoned engineers.
