I'm on STEM OPT and my H1B was approved last week (got the update from attorney). But my consulting firm is not willing to share my receipt number, nor the case number.
I'm stuck here and considering the following options. How can I get out of this situation.
1. Contacting my university to get the case number or receipt number
2. Getting a job and then threatening to leave the job (but my concern is how can I apply for H1b transfer without even knowing my case number). I have an upcoming Amazon virtual full loop.
3. Contacting USCIS ?
Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you

I actually want OP to report this as fraud but not make a failed attempt.
Hmm, seems like it is indeed legal.
