If so, what are some ways you show off your high TC? Talking about in social settings like parties, dates etc.

not really a flex, but when out with family or friends I'll cover the tab without even looking at the bill. They've made comments like "aren't you going to look at the amount first?" I reply "it doesn't matter, I got this"

I don’t want people to know I have money. You become a target. Begging personal loans, lawsuits, prices for services magically go up. Hell no

Oh and don't even get me started on Blind humble brag Blind posts. 90% of the time people share TC to just brag about it. They'll make a post saying something like "which offer should I choose " then post a bunch of super high TC when they've likely already made up their minds and just want external validation. Or they'll say "is this low TC?" while posting a 400K offer.

The best was when my QA got drunk and started trying to flex his TC to the SWE team... big yikes... we all make double what he makes.

Well some background, he’s probably the worst QA I’ve ever worked with. Acts like he knows everything. Rejects almost everything that comes through so it goes through a loop for a non-issue. Slows us down a lot. He just got drunk at a happy hour one night and started telling us about how much money the company is throwing at him because of what a good job he does and how essential he is to the org.
