I’m in HC for a TPM role at Google, and looking for some TC expectations. The role was originally listed as an L5; based on interview performance the hiring manager is advocating for me as an L6 with HC. How much TC overlap is there between L5 and L6, specifically on the base salary? I told them before I went to HC that an above-median offer for L5 would be a good starting point for negotiations, so I’m wondering if they make it an L6 offer how much more I should ask for. Or, have I anchored too low by saying an upper end L5 is good?
Thanks!
Edit: location is SoCal
Current base 180, YoE 12
