- Shower and get dressed right after you wake up before you start working.
- if you can, do your walk or morning exercise routine before that shower
- make a very clear division between the physical space & time for work vs everything else.
- 8 hours a day? Do all your work within that time and don’t let it leak into your other time.
The only challenges for me were the points above. They sound simple but it takes time to get used to a routine and get yourself to respect it (and get others used to respecting it as well).
Now I really love the full time WFH and don’t understand how people get crazy because they don’t have face to face time with your coworkers for “socialization”. I know it’s tough during covid but under normal circumstances having social circles outside of work is very important.
