UPDATE: I was able to negotiate a 9% bump in salary and sign-on bonus equivalent to 10% of my starting salary.

Use competing offers, upcoming interview loops and unvested shares/missed bonuses to negotiate (in that order of effectiveness)
I was told by the recruiter "this is the max for the level you're coming in, and it's an exception" and 1 month later a friend of mine joined at the same level with +40k stocks / year.
Frankly I love Stripe in every aspect other than how recruiters approach new hires
Anyone successfully negotiated on stocks ? What strategy worked for you.
This was for L3 in 2019, but they had the reputation of not negotiating back then, too.
