Accepted job right before coronavirus brokeout
I accepted a financial advisry role at an ameriprise firm right before coronavirus broke out. Sent in my acceptance of the offer but havent heard anything back in 7 days. How long do I wait until I follow up? thanks YOE: 0 TC: 85k
You dont think there’s employment there anymore?
You do acknowledge that even someone accept the offer, the company still interviewing for that position?
Did you ping them again after you send the signed offer back? Try to do it again they might have been busy. Also was there a start date set?
Offer letter mentions, “starting in June.”
Then that's it, you signed offer and you are technically an employee now. You will start in June as stated and if they have anything to tell you, it is their responsibility to do that.
The offer mentions it as an “at will employer” My thought is that the employer is taking his time to determine if I will be “needed” come june. If I am fired or quit I do not receive a “golden” parachutes or anything like that.
You're starting in June. You're fine. And low priority. They're dealing with their WFH situation like every other company.
