Wife keeps saying she is content in her current role but i know she has a lot of potential and can easily hit 250k. She is just taking it easy. I want to motivate her to try for more. I just moved to a new job so can't do anything for few months/1-2 years. Looking for some tips to avoid unnecessary arguments.
My TC: 270k, Wife TC: 120k

I’m assuming you’ve got a pretty high tc, mind if I ask TC/YOE/location and assuming software ? What do you think is a reasonable TC for someone in software to get after 5 years if they are chasing TC?
The difference is that since she’s happy, I’m happy. Sure, she could earn more, but since we don’t have trouble making ends meet, earning less for the sake of greater job satisfaction is a compromise we’re both happy for her to make.
Tho admittedly I might have a difference perspective if we were struggling to pay our bills.
