Amazon Virtual Soon - Mgr Position

Need some advice for virtual interview. I expect all rounds will be behavioural questions. What I want to know is, do they look at how complex the situation is in the examples you give them? or Even if it is moderate situation example , they check for LPs?

Yes, complexity in terms of how you apply/balance LPs matters and should be a reflection of the depth of your work experience. For example, delivering results on a splashy, complex project is cool but failing to earn trust (strong-arming others to get the job done) across your own team/other teams/orgs will be a detractor. Complexity and richness of responses matter.

Every example you give has to show that you’ve got those LP’s imbedded in your style as a professional and the way you work. I just wrapped up my interviews last Thursday and signed my offer yesterday :) I had maybe 5-7 big stories and would sometimes give different angles of the same story depending on the question.. because a lot of these questions they ask are similar. So you can actually find the answer to 2 questions in ONE story but find a different angle if that makes sense. (I say story not example because you need to think of yourself as a story teller). Keep it interesting.

I did 3 virtual interviews and got 2 inclined. I then had to pick which one of the 2 i liked the most. :)

What are positions are you applying for and where? Some of my stories were totally moderate. A couple were huge because I wanted to show then breadth of my expertise and how I can handle certain situations
