Facebook or Uber for sourcing role?! HELP

Dec 15, 2021 10 Comments

I need help deciding between two offers!? Both remote!

I only have 2 years experience…

Facebook offer:
$110k base
$46k equity that vests over 4 years
10% bonus

Uber offer:
$75/hour on contract= $156k with no benefits

Please help! Uber is ALOT of money to turn down but Facebook seems to be better for long term too?!

      This.
Other option is you coming back to blind a year from now and asking 'should I disclose in my resume that I'm a contractor?'.

It’s contract role so they can’t match- my initial offer was 98.5 k base, 29k equity and 10% bonus then they moved it to 105k base, 46k equity and 10% bonus and final offer is the $110k base, 46k and 10% bonus

I would be going in as an IC3 and IC4 are the ones closer to that base- they said I can be promoted within the year to bump salary and bonus and equity though

Uber is not a lot of money compared to Fb. It’s more of less the same. You can also ask Fb to match , they can easily do so
