Is working in a USA semi conductor company like Intel, Applied materials and Lam Research a safe option to whether out the layoff concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic? #layoff #appliedmaterials #lamresearch #asml #layoff
Intel is low lay-off risk in general
Huh? When is Intel not doing layoffs?
Intel is CURRENTLY doing layoffs. What are you talking about? Thankfully it's not the primary CPU design teams... But some secondary teams and low impact markets are currently in redeployment even starting as late as last week
I think we are starting to see slowdown. If the Huawei thing blows off... it will have ripple effects sooner or later. Semiconductors is always cyclical.
ASML is low lay off risk in general.
From what I know these companies are now the beneficiaries of the pandemic situation because a lot of these companies also work on chips, micro chip etc.
Why would you say they are beneficiaries?
I think because chips are need to be used for developing servers, gaming consoles and devices which are useful for setting up the virtual workplace.
