☝️ If so, tips please.

Have toenail fungus, having a super hard time getting rid of it. Tried laser, filing, jublia/ciclopirox nail polish, no luck. Thanksgiving in advance.

Go to the dermatologist and ask for Lamasil. It does have some serious side effects which is why they make you do blood tests every month to check in. Cleared up in 3 months

This is what I took, but do consider that the fungus is harmless and the medication is not. It did work when I was consistent

I was in op boat of trying multiple things and nothing worked. Your right in that the side effects could get pretty serious though and a legitimate concern. I would consider myself a healthy individual and my dermatologist was on top of things never felt at risk at any point. But would recommend exploring this option with a doctor as I found it to be really successful and would do it again if needed.

I might have a similar condition. About eight years ago my toenail came completely off in an accident. It grew back, but these days it is white and rough to the touch. What is this? Fungus or just a nail that isn't stuck to the skin properly?

I used oral medication. I was youngish and didn't think it would cause organ failure for me. Tried topical but don't remember it having much effect. I was too inconsistent with the oral medication

After a couple years I stopped medication and a year or two after that it disappeared on its own (with me also cutting off the nail with the fungus on it whenever it got long enough).

I know this isn't all that useful, but thought maybe it would be reassuring that it eventually went away on its own for me. Been a long while and no regression

Edit: I also tried to keep my feet dry and not create an environment for the fungus to thrive
