Not unless you can use capital letters at the beginning of sentences.

its okay, i rather type like this than work at amazon.

@Uber: I guess your inability to take jokes/sarcasm/feedback, even if it may come from @amazon, actually says that you don’t have what it takes to be a top tier MBA candidate. So, no, don’t pursue MBA.

So you'd go back and spend all thst time to get a degree to earn the same? You sound like management already.

What makes you think you need an MBA to change into consulting?

I think a lot of people with MBAs think it makes them smarter and a lot of people who work under them would disagree. Also, I think ethics is important to learn and an MBA won't help you there. And you don't need one to consult, just clientele and a good reputation.

If you want to change into finance/consulting/management, I don't see why you wouldn't want to get an MBA degree. It's definitely better than working a dress end job that you hate

I guess it depends if you're doing managerial consulting or engineering consulting

management consulting was the most miserable thing i've ever done in my life. dm if you want details. i did the mba - consulting route and have a ton of classmates that did the same.

I think an MBA is a good path to a career change, BUT I was a in a very low paying job pre MBA and back then, MBAs were much cheaper...so the opportunity cost was low for me and the upside was big. For you, cost is high (especially of top tier school) opportunity cost is very high (if you quit and go fulltime) and upside is unknown. I would see if you could swing it part time and not quit.....and by the way, from what I see consulting folks use the gig as stepping stone to get good paying jobs at companies like...well Uber, so the life must be a grind.

To be a PM? For the same level, PMs earn less than SDEs. true story
