I work in Fintech IT technical support and the company I work at has a 30% turnover of staff. The job is extremely exhausting and mentally taxing. The product is so shitty and supper buggy. Basically from 7 am in the morning to 5pm I am dealing with frustrated and escalated customers. I took the role during Covid-19 because of multiple rejections. I have now landed an offer with a better title and better company.

Manager has flipped out on me when I gave my 2 weeks. Manager went of saying that I was sure what the job entailed when I was interviewing.

How do I handle this passive aggressive behavior for the next to 2 weeks?

Just stop going. The 2 weeks notice is a courtesy. If you’re manager can’t respect that then fuck him. You already have a new job, focus your time and mental space on that

You don’t need to handle it. You’ve already quit.

Your manager is just as frustrated as you have been, except they have even more responsibility for a problem they probably didn’t create.

You got your escape ticket; keep that in mind and be as accommodating as you can be with these two weeks while they go through their stages of grief. Focus on getting a good transition doc done to make life a little less shitty for the unfortunate ones you’re leaving behind.

If the disrespectful behavior continues though just bounce as others have suggested.

You sir have given the best ans!
@OP - why fret over the prisoners left behind. They will crib and curse your good fortune for escaping a sinking ship.
Protip - never burn bridges when leaving, world is too small and you never know what might happen next.

Unfortunately, with the way my manager has been behaving I believe that bridge has already been burnt.

Just look at it from your manager's perspective and try to understand him as well. I'm pretty sure the company spent a lot of resources and time hiring you. I'm not saying that you have to stay and work there. Just act like nothing happened. Be humble and finish those 2 weeks without complaining.

      OP
I understand your perspective and I am truly seeing this from my managers perspective. However, they knew that they are severely short-staffed yet do nothing about. They literally had 6 months to fill a position that is receiving 60+ applicants a week. I am just finding it really hard to sympathize for my manager. But I will be as professional as possible for those next 2 weeks.

    • Yeah fuck that. Companies don't care when they fire you. Why should we care when we dump them.

      They choose to burnout workers.

OP just do you. You are done. It's their problem now.
