#facebook anyone know what this role is like, work life balance , oncall, culture
Excellent, thanks
PE at FB is like SWE-SRE at Google.
Does anyone know if they leetcode test you on your programming knowledge for this role? What does "PIP'd" mean?
For PE? Yes, you have one LC style phone round , two whiteboard rounds onsite. This is in addition to the systems interviews.
Thanks. So this will be in Python I am assuming? Or is it language agnostic and they will allow Java?
They have PE (production engineering) at Facebook. They’re a respected lot that hold key decisions for product for better or worse. oncall can be brutal. But keeps job interesting I guess. Domain matters. If they’re tied to infra, then demanding job, more leverage and less chance for getting pip’d
Less chance to get PIP’d as a infrastructure production engineer ? Would service foundry , networking and smart platform classify as infrastructure?
Hello ineer, Can you give input wrt less chances of PIP on infra roles ? Your input will play a major role in me taking a decision to join Facebook or not
