My friend scheduled an initial phone screen after being reached out to by a principal recruiter. She is a sr. manager of marketing for context. The call was scheduled via zoom for 8 am. At 8:05 am the recruiter had not yet joined and my friend reached out immediately asking if it was still a good time to chat. She did not receive a response for 8 hours until the recruiter said that my friend must have given her a wrong phone number and asked for additional availability. My friends number is clearly listed on her resume and application. And why would even that be relevant if there was a zoom link (?!). After my friend responded with additonal times, they never responded. Posting here to sound an alarm for the unprofessional behavior of recruiters at this company. Not saying its all but from a principal recruiter, I expect more. #toast TC: 350k, YOE 10
this might have come up during climax
we should be beware of all recruiters
Seems like a pretty minor thing. Look around blind for stories of people getting ghosted after six hour onsites.
Oooof
It’s just a recruiter call. Reschedule and have it next week. Also kind of a dick move to schedule 8am calls unless you are on the west coast and recruiter is on EST.
I gave availability for a tech screen and haven’t heard back…it’s been a few days.
You really have nothing to do on a Friday evening?!
Had similar experience with Stryker, recruiter’s initials RH. Should be fired.
horrible experience here as well... The recruiter literally rescheduled the initial call three times and then disappeared. This is for another senior marketing position. Quite appalled by the lack of professionality from Toast recruiters.
Why would you spend Friday night writing a big run on paragraph about an experience that is allegedly "your friends" and not you? And how would you know all these details as a third party or be so emotionally invested?
Hi it’s me, the friend is real!
