does anyone have insight into the impending tmo reorg happening? specifically interested in regional marketing? ive heard they are demoting people
*looks at watch* Yea about time for another reorg. Right on schedule.
Yeah. Reorg is pending. It's been 2 months without any reorg.
AT&T does it all the time. I was just surplussed with recent MS in Advanced Analytics. Publish my resume first time in six years and I have recruiters calling from every location.
I think it is both, something they do all the time and also related to sprint. They are removing certain manager positions to flatten the organization. There are “grey” boxes on the org chart that are reserved for sprint employees. It very frustrating to have been a people manager for many years to potentially be bumped down to individual contributors. Any one looking for an experienced director of marketing?
Who is even left?
Apparently there will be some news this week regards to reorg. Some of the Area VPs know what is going to happen and front the looks of their faces... they don’t look to worried.
Following up, many mid level managers being demoted and offered a severance package if they choose to leave, this is there way of reducing headcount while not laying anyone off.
That’s not unique to T-MO. All telecoms are doing that right now.
Like directors? Or L07 to IC?
L08 to IC
Directors have to interview for open positions
Here is the drop! You will not get demoted. They will offer you the same title with a lesser salary that you can’t live off of forcing you out.
