It got announced today that HBO Warner Media is merging with Discovery Inc in a $43Billion all cash deal. What does the future looks like for Discovery, HBO and stock performance in coming future?

What this means is Warnermedia/HBO gets to go through the 4th round of executive shuffling and layoffs in 3 years. It’s been an absolute shitshow and I’ve left a while ago. Strategies changed every 3 months, absolute monsters running engineering to burnout.

  Discovery still has linear TV subscription, rights and licenses on its videos to be aired, new OTT is also built at scale and therefore it will be one of the strongest content provider unlike anyone else as lifestyle videos is an USP for Discovery. It will take few years, three to 4 years before it becomes a global player
