I have an offer or two to move from Seattle to Chicago to work as a Quant Dev. I'm getting last minute cold feet at the idea of leaving Big Tech and not so keen on the whole Chicago thing. The firm is sort of similar to Akuna but not big like Citadel. I'm doing about 300k right now and I'm only going under the expectation it could be a lot more than what I make now. Am I going to be disappointed? I don't mind working hard but it needs to be worthwhile. Is this a stupid move?
