logically, I know that it’s a terribly work life balance and the culture is not great.
But I’m in sales and I see the potential to grow into the org and the strength of the product.
Somebody, please - tell me if I’m being irrational or if I should just take the jump and go for it for 2-3 years and plan to boomerang.

Seriously, if your want to interview and get a written offer from Amazon then go ahead but for the sake of your sanity dont accept it and just use it as negotiation for a salary package at any one of the very very very many better real world company, who have not adopted such calculatedly hostile work processes and culture against their workers.
Add to that and you have the other annoying shit with Amazon, like all the stupid writing we have to do monthly around challenges for customers, wins, headwinds, tailwinds, etc. add to that you have to listen to annoying LP talk all the time from people wanting to impress you or managers giving vague feedback around LPs.
But again, the pay is good. I’m L5 and made what most SDE L6 made last year as my commissions and spiffs were very strong. But I do hate the culture here.
For sales, WLB balance is great. I make $350+ and work 40 hours a week. Of course a lot depends on your manager but where isn’t that the case?
Ultimately the more strategic engagement and priority accounts are typically assigned L6, so on so forth
You still need to perform though, so for some people hitting their numbers will take less effort and vice versa.
