Been on the new job hunt journey for the last few weeks and so far haven’t made it past phone technical rounds and take home tests as either buckled down under stress or getting beat out by other candidates. I know it’s going to take practice to do interviews but can’t help but feel a bit discouraged. On the studying and LC train right now and will keep chugging along. Have quite a few more interviews but always hard to know if I’m ready for them without just going for it. Not sure what I’m looking for, I guess just some encouragement! Thanks y’all for listening to my sadness dump.

Interview is a number game. And the result of an interview can be due to many factors unrelated to your performance.

If you feel like you didn’t do well then take notes and keep on improving. Knowledge compounds over time and you will guarantee to get better. I am 💯 sure you will nail multiple interviews down the road.

    Best of luck!

Yeah I’ve been at it for 3 months and still nothing. I’ve failed 6 phone screens and 5 onsites. Have 3 in process at the moment and 1 in limbo.

It’s just hard, remind yourself why you’re doing it and power through.

Thanks for sharing, glad to know we’re all more or less on the same journey. The grinding part feels like being in a black hole at times, I just can’t wait to get out on the other side and see where I’ll actually end up! You’re powering it through so well, I can feel it 💪💪💪 good luck to you you’ve got this!!!

  • there's an element of luck in job hunt. Preparation definitely is a big part of it but luck also plays a part. Just continue pushing forward and keep trying. You'll land one eventually.

Hang in there, I just got off of a job hunt w/ 1.5 yrs if exp. It was rejection after rejection until I got 3 offers in one week one of which was Uber. Each rejection makes you a slightly better candidate and you will make it to that new role

As cliche as it sounds, it’s a testament to your will. A couple months ago I made it to 10 on sites and got rejected back to back by the first 4, which were companies I didn’t even really want to go to. Soon after, I received 5 amazing offers back to back. Keep grinding, no pain no gain. Good luck!
