Hello Blind,
Im a new grad, and im currently having several interviews in IT support role. I have asked the recruiter for the comp range and she was happy to share it with me, she said if im wanting to go higher I would need to discuss that with the hiring manager of course.
So my question is do I negotiate for higher comp during this pandemic or should I be cautioned especially since im a new grad???
I fee like I might miss the chance for higher comp if I dont ask
But I have heard horror stories from my friends getting their offers rescinded after they tried to negotiate
Thoughts?

I didn't negotiate for my first job out of college which was fine since I just wanted experience, I had some pretty unique leverage 2 years later and got a fat 300k TC job. Point is, negotiating can be great but you need leverage to get anything meaningful otherwise you're scrapping over 5-10k.
But you can always ask. You should. But you are on their mercy
