None of the childcare around me does this:

provided the child care programs took multiple safety measures — including disinfecting, handwashing, symptom screening, social distancing, mask-wearing, and limiting group size — and were located in communities where the spread of COVID-19 was contained.

  • In WA state daycares were told they could stay open and many have through the whole year.

They’re open, but there are a lot of mandatory protocols. The kids are social distancing, kids over three are wearing masks, sanitation is extra thorough, caretakers for a class don’t swap during the day, etc.

      At least in King County.

    • Don’t see any social distancing and they don’t always wear masks

The masks also started about as month ago. Before that it was totally open.

I believe that childcare isn’t a vector and we’ve seen enough numbers to prove this out. It’s good to hear as I’ve been waiting to send my kid back to daycare but like all else, there’s still a lot more questions than answers at this point
