In terms of total hours spent + the total weeks/months time-frame you could put in that many hours?

Why are you targeting 500 LC, geez. Quality over quantity I would say

Maybe he thinks he can defeat uwi by solving 500 problems. Maybe op is not looking for interview prep. Maybe he is thinking to defeat Gennady by solving 500 problems. πŸ˜‚

Sort the questions in descending order according to acceptance percentage. You can solve 500 questions in 125 hours (averaging about 15 minutes per question).
That won't take you anywhere though. Better solve the most liked problems, even 200 of them will be enough to put you in a good position.

Not op but imo a lot of the most popular questions are pretty shitty. Doesn't mean that you won't get asked them, but I think the most liked questions are the best ROI if you wanna do the minimum number of questions to prep

The liked questions was just an example to point out that quality is more important than quantity. Obviously, other ways like popularity or difficulty or least accepted are also good ways to get quality questions. Just that the focus needs to be on quality and not the number of questions.

  • while you are working full time, 30-50/month is already a optimistic goal provided you can solve them again the next time.
