Planning to buy a certified preowned 2019 BMW X1 xDrive28i. Thinking if it will be a good buy. Looking for thoughts on it.

    BMW won't be a thing in 20 years. Antiquated German junk for backward thinkers. Smelly, unreliable, unfixable cars. I was following a BmW in my Tesla last night and the pollution was so bad I had to stop, roll down the windows, and wait for some fresh air to arrive!

      Lol yes. Have you ever taken a bus? Tesla is a mass production "for the masses" electric vehicle that has been riding its hype for as long as it can until much better alternatives come to the market. If you're looking for a Tesla, a BMW is definitely not for you. Same way that if you're interested in a BMW, you'll find a Tesla extremely boring and unappealing. Not saying they're bad, it's just a different approach.

      @IBM You make good points. One thing though, just because it's being mass produced, I don't think the quality is any inferior, case in point - iPhone. Also, I have taken a 🚌 before :)

    Buying a cheap BMW? Even more wrong.

    Get a well equipped Honda or Toyota, or their luxurious counterpart.

      Comparing a BMW to toyota or honda just tells me that you don't actually know why someone would get a BMW. One thing I would agree, you don't get a german car for aftermarket parts or easy to work on cars. German cars a precision engineered machine and the real reason you get a BMW is for the engine and the drive. I understand that for most people car is just a way to go from point A to point B and for those people they compare cost and I agree BMW is not worth it. It is for people who really enjoy driving and really are car people. Once you drive a german car and feel that engine you won't compare it to Japanese cars that is all!

      @noFAANG is on point. My brother had an old BMW back in the day. The car was powerful and I loved to drive it. FF to now, I just couldn't resist to buy me a 2 series, which is similar to the good old BMW. I find excuses to get behind the wheel. I absolutely LOVE to drive my car.

  • I drove one. Underwhelming. Too tall, takes away from the driving experience. If you want the practicality of an SUV, pick a well equipped Honda or Toyota. Now, if you want better driving experience, get a BMW 2 or 3 series.
