I want to leave AMAT, and I'm interested in transitioning into something outside semiconductors. It seems that AMAT folks can easily jump around Lam, KLA, etc (other vendors). Surely, when you switch to Lam/KLA/other vendors, they upgrade the package a lot, but in the long term, I am afraid I will face the same issues I face at AMAT (toxic management, low raises, forever waiting for a promotion, micro management, low pay, overtime and weekend work all the time, endless meetings, backstabbing, etc... )
Can you provide advice -- what is good industry to switch into? Any advice from current/former semiconductor ppl?
Thanks
