You need a document for reference in the Applicant tracking system for records.
And you cannot import a candidate LinkedIn profile data into the ATS directly.
However LinkedIn has features
- creata resume from LinkedIn profile
- upload your resume details in the prospective company website using LinkedIn profile data.
How is LinkedIn useful in recruitment?
The fact that a recruiter contacted you on LinkedIn is a good signal that you are one of the pre-qualified candidates for the job and are likely to see a better conversion rate in hiring.
I actually created my resume for LinkedIn by copying my LinkedIn profile. Very silly.
2. Not everything is mentioned on LinkedIn. Lot of people don’t like to update their work details on LinkedIn on regular basis so the information is not always current
But I understand what you’re saying about them using it as a tool to gauge true interest from the candidate.
There has to be a better way though!
They liked my LI profile enough to call me, and then loved what I had to say enough to move me forward.
I’d much rather them ask me to complete an assessment that’s directly correlated to the job or culture than waste my time re-typing what I’ve already posted publicly.
Isn’t the hiring manager going to ask me about my accomplishments during the interview anyway?
