After you receive a stock grant,
1) can your managers see the current status such as gains, losses, whether you have cashed out, etc?

2) If so, do they take these factors into consideration for refreshers? For example, I joined Oracle when stock price was 94, and its ~80 now.

TC: 180 cash + 3500 stock units

Managers can see your total RSUs granted, date of grant, vested/unvested amounts. It is very easy to compute your estimated comp for any given year, and yes, they are factored into subsequent refresher calculation to an extent. So, if a top performer is going to get less total comp because of decrease in stock price, then managers may at their discretion bump up the refresher to retain talent. On the flip side, if someone is making a lot based on stock price increase, their refresher can be reduced to give someone else a higher refresher. At the end of the day, managers are given a pool of RSUs to disburse with general guidelines, but different managers do it differently in discussion with their Director/VP.

Once RSUs vest, what you do with them is private between you and your brokerage. Hope this helps.

RSUs sit in a brokerage and they wait to clear. once they vest, the company has no further insight to your actions. the only people who see it are YOU and the brokerage. Selling or holding is a personal decision , do not make these decisions to please your employer like a slave

Yes and no. The company still has control over when you can sell your RSUs and restricts that activity to open trading windows

Yes. Everything is visible and is used for future compensation. Once RSUs vest, they are yours and obviously cannot be seen by the manager or company.

In many HR systems, yes they can see how many RSUs you were granted, when you were granted/vested them, and their approx value.
