Offers from different countries
First and foremost, I regret to make this difficult situation and finally post this. Please read and give me your advice.
I have received two offers:
X: one of FAANG is located in Amsterdam.
Y: one of FAANG is located in the US.
They granted me a senior role and suggested me a very competitive TC in each region, but the TC of X is almost equal to "0.6 * the TC of Y". The actual money gap is so high because I had been received a Sr. role. I really hope to join X rather than Y because you know TC is not everything.
My question is how I can negotiate in this situation. The recruiter of X said it is not allowed to compare the TC with a different country. Yes, I totally agree with this. But, what if I use the exchange rate of X between the US and Amsterdam. One of my friends who works in X gave me TC range in my band of the Bay area. Okay, my recruiter already gave me the TC range in Amsterdam. I could get the exchange rate. I know it's not convincing, but I have to try to make a way to gain more TC. I can get the value "IDEAL_TC = 0.7 (from X's exchange rate) * TC of Y". IDEAL_TC is still very competitive rather than X's TC. I am going to try out this approach in the next phone call with the recruiter of X. What do you think about that? Do you think it's BS? or Do you have any better idea?

At least you can defer your decision and collect more data after 1 year of working in Amsterdam
The only city that can come closest is London
