From doing a bunch of research I have finally understood how the above two roles are eefined at Apple:

1. Engineering Project/Program Managers (EPMs) are Project Execution roles through and through. They are synonymous with Technical Program Manager (TPM) roles at the likes of FB, Google, Amazon etc. Almost 0 product strategy, owning a roadmap, feature definitions etc.

2. It seems like just the ML/AI (Siri) and Internet Software and Services orgs have standalone Product Managers that solely focus on Product.

3. For other parts of Apple - e.g. iOS, MacOS, iPhone, iPad, Mac etc, the Worldwide Product Marketing org handles both Product Management and Product Marketing Management. So if you're a PMM in WWPM working on one of the aforementioned products you'll have responsibilites of traditional product (roadmap development, feature prioritisation etc) and traditional product marketing (messaging, positioning, GTM etc), That said, some roles in WWPM lean more towards Product and some more towards Product Marketing

I've been trying to wrap my head around the way Apple handles things for a while and this is my conclusion. Hope it clears things up for other folks looking into these types of roles at Apple here on Blind.
