Amazon Interview Experience and Process with time frame (L6 , SDM, Vancouver)
Hi All,
Since this forum helped me to gather some info when preparing or going thru my Amazon SDM interview process, here is the time to pay back for others :)
Please see below my very recent interview process in brief.
1/17 - First email from Recruiter asking for catch up call
1/21 - Quick catch up call with Recruiter touching basic experience and current Job role
2/04 - First phone interview
2/06 - Second phone interview (Recruiter said, they do this for all international candidates. Dont know or they were checking before proceeding further. Anyways better for me also).
2/07 - Confirmation for the selection to onsite interviews scheduled on 2/27
2/21 - Completed the writing exercise 5 days prior to onsite interviews.
2/27 - Onsite interviews @ Vancouver, 5 interviews back to back based on project experiences touching all LP and System Design in Depth
3/03 - Onsite interview result was shared as positive with a note that Lead Recruiter is working with Hiring manager on the offer
3/03 - Lead Recruiter asked for several time slots for the current week to discuss the offer
3/04 - Offer discussion call, we discussed for 30 mins but I did not mentioned any figure for base, bonus or RSU
3/05 - Got Offer via email
Asked for 2 days to go through the offer
3/09 - Offer accpeted with discussion to Lead Recruiter
6/01 - Will be First day @ Vancouver Office
Update :
5/10 - Approval pending with Canadian Authorities for processing. Due to COVID-19 it will take considerable time. No exact joining date as of now. In regular contact with Recruiter and hiring manager.

Also, did not understand the second writing assignment: “recent judgemental project decision taken which could not be analysed.”. Which could not be analysed ?
