I managed to get a L6 offer for cloud sales team (customer engineering Manager) after several team match calls - yay me!
Current TC: 480k (current yr); 360k (subsequent years)
Current base: 195k
Bonus: 30%
TC: $400k
Base: 172k
Bonus: 42%
RSU: 380k/4
Sign on bonus: $20k
Recruiter comments:
-this is the ‘maximum offer’ that got approved. Does that mean I can’t negotiate at all? I’ve never heard with any company the first offer being the absolute best and final.
-can’t increase base pay at all
-most ppl take a base pay cut to come to Google
The monthly vesting of stock and sign on bonus technically gets me closer to my current base but I don’t want to have to liquidate every month just to stay whole on the base ; and bonus is only one time (first year). I also want to let stock grow instead of using it as supplemental income.
Any inputs would be welcome.
