I got through hiring committee and currently in team match step. I'm looking for interesting teams working in distributed, backend, data processing etc. I'm currently an L63 at Azure.
Would appreciate if someone could answer few questions,
1. I have heard of people getting to team-match and not really getting an offer, what are the odds of that happening.
2. How is Google Cloud in general (compared to other Google orgs).
3. For Seattle area, what are the dumpster fires to avoid and teams to seek.
4. Whats the comp range I can negotiate for (Is 275-300K TC too much for L4?)
5. What offers does Google compete aggressively? Currently I only have couple of startup offers, Didn't do well on FB onsite, have other FANG + Snap ones bit later but not sure if it would be too late.
I really appreciate any other tips and recommendations. Thanks in advance.

RE 4/5: Similar YOE, and level. They gave me low-ball offer (something like 130 salary, 180 RSU).
I had to use another offer as leverage and they immediately matched with no questions asked.
Their last offer breakdown was around:
162k salary
70k sign on
350k RSU
I think you could get better than this with competing offers
I was thinking the same that 30 mins phone call isn't enough. I have had only 2 team-match calls till now and both were from teams building internal tools. It's looks like good work but I want to be product focused too. For some reason I'm unable to get product teams matched with me.
I'm hoping to talk to few product teams and choosing one by gut feeling, unfortunately I am unable to get paired with any GCP product team though half of my experience has been in building Azure services. I liked most people I interacted though.
