Retention-against-Resignation-at-Paypal[India]
Hi,
I am a T23(software engineer 2) in India , due to average pay(compared to industry) as well as tech and team... I decided to resign from Paypal within 8 months , after I informed my manager he said he will speak to HR as he cannot let me go at this point of time ,taking down the details he said now HR will contact me for negotiations ,
I think retention will be a huge mistake from my side...as already the trust has been breached..
Update--
Now the update is my manager today says we can increase comp% current at 87% to 110% while he described the offer as 190%.
He says he will have to get me promoted within 1-2 years for the same
What should I do , any suggestions are welcome, I asked for 1 more day

Offer in Hand-> 1) 30 base ,2.5 lac JB first year and second year , 14Lac stock per year --OCI MTS(IC-2)
2) 24 base,2.5 lac JB first year and second year , 13 lac stock per year - Nutanix - MTS-3
3) 20 base, 6lac bonuns first year ,5 lac 2nd year,8 RSUs with vesting schedule(5% - 15% - 40% -40%) stocks - Amazon SDE-1

Take your new offer and jump asap.
Just drop an email to him with HR cced and mention the list of tasks and that you cannot complete them before your last date. Any further negotiation and agreements should be mentioned in email so that you have a record to show to HR in case of disputes.
OCI is better in comp but Oracle isn't a good brand, and possibly has lot of operational work load.
Just ask around for the operational load/oncall etc. in the team you plan on joining.
