Had a phone interview on a Friday which went well. I was surprised to see an email the following Sunday evening asking me to come in for an on-site interview on Monday (essentially 0.5 biz days, super fast turnaround right?). Interview was four 45 min sessions with 1 or 2 people, my overall feeling was mixed, but mostly good. Only one session didn't go well. Not terrible, just not great. Got a rejection a few days later...I asked for feedback but didn't get any. I am still really interested in those roles at AWS, and am unsure how to proceed (i.e. apply again or wait). Thoughts/comments/advice?

What kind of background do you have? For TAMs, they prefer people with a rare mix of technical and people skills, and from what I've seen, most people that interviewed for TAM didn't cut it on the tech side, or the leadership principles side. If the meh interview was short on technical questions, odds are you failed on some leadership principles question, and that might be tough to overcome if you're looking for any other positions there.

The 2/5 commitment on candidate experience is why it happened so fast. Likey your had a bar raiser who was not inclined ?

Call the HR contact you have and ask if you have been recycled and can be considered for other roles.

If they think you're a fit for similar roles (or other roles) they'll keep track of you and circle back.

You might ask for an intro to recruiting that supports another team you're interested in - if they make an intro good chance they liked you. If they don't make intro...

You mean asking the HR rep who is in touch to introduce you to another position that might be a better fit?

Thanks, sounds like a plan. Also, what is a "bar raiser"? I've heard the term in the Amazon realm but unsure of what it actually means.

It's someone in your interview loop who is a seasoned Amazonian and experienced interviewer. They are in the process to keep the HM honest and prevent preferential hiring....I.e. they are the ones that will be calibrating of you raise the bar of the team you are joining, is there a development plan for you in areas of weakness etc...

Sorry, I don't work at Microsoft, and this situation did not occur this week or last week.
