Twitter Interview: Been 11 business days… When will I hear back?

Feb 9 6 Comments

Had my third Twitter interview (screening, HM, and teammate) and have been waiting quite awhile for a follow up. It’s been 11 business days since the last interview. Sent a gentle “checking in” email to the recruiter after 7 business days. I’m also still showing as “interview” status on Smart Recruiters. I did really well on all of them, so just wondering what may be taking so much time. Is this typical? Thanks in advance!

You need to provide some information if it’s tech or non tech and blind tax. Anyways, this is applicable to all the interviews. If you didn’t hear back it means they are evaluating other candidates and they have put you on hold. There are high chances that you will hear back. You are now desperate you may get lowballed when they come back . You should leverage this time to get additional offers and increase your value. I have been in this situation, forget and attend more interviews.

I joined in November and my smartrecruiters still says “Interviewing”, so don’t pay attention to that part. The silence from the recruiter is weird though. You could try reaching out to the EM directly… if you did as well as you say you did the manager should be motivated to get the process moving.

But as others have said, you could just be on hold waiting for other candidates to make their decisions before they make a decision on you.
