how is uber freight? are they at risk of layoffs? I am considering an offer from them but I dont want to accept and then be layed off in the coming months. is uber company wide at risk or was it just marketing and engineering? usually ops is next after engineers.. TC: base : 105k RSU: 107k yearly bonus : 14k YOE: 12 opinions? comments? let me know what you think of the offer?
Fwiw, the Uber hiring freezes specifically excluded the "freight and autonomous driving divisions", so it seems they're at least somewhat insulated from the problems at Uber proper.
Uber freight is one of the very few divisions of Uber thats actually growing, so I think it should be fine
Did you end up taking? I am in similar boat but with UberEATS. I was told $90k base in the initial phone screen with recruiter. That'd be 25% drop for me without even considering that I live in a low living cost area compared to where this position would be (NYC). Did you negotiate? Were you successful?
Ended up taking it, didn’t negotiate anything other than RSU’s. Im satisfied with it though.
Mind sharing the final RSU? And what's vesting period?
If you read their quarterly, Freight is doing well
