Midwest Quant trying to get out West - how to navigate the foreign world of Blind?

Hey! Sr Quant Analyst from flyover country looking to get into Product Analytics out west.

I have 5 YOE @Cargill in python, sql, modeling, and trading commodities but want to drive more of the product decisions.

This site is sooo foreign cause I make TC 160k in Minneapolis/St. Paul. For those who've made the transition into tech from mature-crusty companies, do you have an advice in navigating this site to find the helpful nuggets?

And for those who are tech-natives, any advice to disuade from shifting to Seattle? I love mountains & the outdoors, but willing to Rethink location!
