How is this browser going to change the entire business model of advertising ?

Are they not going to be destroyed by Google? I don’t think traditional advertising companies will be very happy if it takes off....

  • This may remove garbage from poorly designed websites, but most revenue from Google comes from the search itself, and you cannot block ads there.

    Unless there is some AI that can parse an already rendered page.

    Not only traditional ad companies but also publishers that rely on ad $. It’s the right move from a ux standpoint when chrome is expected to limit pop up ads and the like in March. All those ad trackers, regathering pixels are what’s going to take a hit for those in the ads biz. But it’s also what browsers are aiming to improve from a user perspective. It’ll be hard for brave to get mass appeal but it’s got a lot going for them
