Already recruiter reached out and I’m apt to take the call. Any insight? This would be for enterprise sales? Heard the pay is on the lower end but it’s amazon so stocks and all that jazz. Tia

I hear variable comp is not based on revenue, but mgmt based objectives (MBO). Are the MBOs achievable?
Also, are there still good accounts out there or have most large enterprises already started public cloud adoption. Would be coming from public sector.
All in all, pay doesn't seem bad to me but not sure what Verizon is comparing to or why comp plan is poor. Commission split is more favorable than GCP's, being base-heavy (60/40 or 70/30, Gcp is 30/70). Most AMs meet quota.
Sales culture - hard to make a generalization here. I suspect that enterprise sales is mostly the same wherever you go and it's just luck of the draw whether you get a good manager/skip. Don't judge the company, judge the people you'll be working for. It's been great for me but I also know toxic teams I wouldn't want to be on.
I'd definitely check it out, cloud is a good place to be whichever one you choose. Pay is good and will be a good learning experience.
The stock is great but they use that in place of salary and commissions. Most people want to retain their share and grow vs convert them to cash to supplement a poor comp plan.
That said, I don’t work there so eager to hear what others have to say.
