I am interviewing with them soon and wanted to get an idea on how much they pay for IC6 (staff) level SWE?

    AvWI33 is a clown, there's no loss. The company is cash flow positive.
    We are printing money and could pay top $ for the right candidate.
    But IC6 here is the most senior IC level, very rarely hired from outside.

    Getting IC6 at 8 yoe is going to be very difficult. IC6 is senior principal. New offers can be close to 900k for ic6.

    But don't join Roblox now. I feel the stock has huge downside potential from here. We are just trying to keep the lights on. So don't expect any change in the amount of loss we are incurring. It will only widen.

    • Sure stock price can always go down, but it should happen over time. You shouldn't just lose half your stock value the day you join

      Comp for new hires is really competitive. The low stock price means you vest more shares.

      Figure out what the grant price is before accepting though. The 60 day avg is probably above current fmv.

    With 8yoe you will probably be IC4 or IC5 if you do exceptionally well in the interview.
    IC5 is Principal which I assume you refer to as "Staff".
    IC6 comp range is similar to technical directors, easily 1M+.

    IC6 is equivalent to apple ICT6. There is only 1 IC6+ under my VP.
