Received a reddit senior offer:
240k base + 3610 shares@ 10 b valuation ( 220k @ 61$ per rsu) vested over 3 yrs, so around 73k per yr.
Total offer: 313k.
This offer seem pretty low given current market conditions.I also have a competing offer from datadog for a senior at around 370k, which I haven't started negotiating.
I know reddit recruiter mentioned upfront, they don't negotiate. Is this true? If not how much more can I push reddit, cause the way it is offer not very competitive.
Also recruiter mentioned I can quickly move up to staff, but I've heard those stories before, at Amazon.
Current tc: 275k 10 yoe

IPO growth yadayada is just bs y’all spew from ignorance. Instacart is giving 500k+ packages for Sr but apparently reddit can’t 🙄, and you use this chance to make a jab at Amazon. Good show of your neckbeard culture
If they don’t increase go to Datadog
Congratulations on the offers
Very happy for OP that he has a better offer
Also, is there a 1 year cliff on RSU?
While Meta was more than willing to match and with yearly refreshers and bonus (am aware that I definitely left money on the table), I decided to join here just because I personally enjoy Reddit more as a product. Also the interviews were much more interactive and fun (compared to the leetcode marathon in Meta).
Additionally, with some luck in the upcoming IPO the numbers will more than add up.

2. Reddit does negotiate so the recruiter was not totally honest.
3. Reddit doesn’t even have a formalized and structured annual review process, so it is not easy to quickly climb. And, the raises at Reddit are lower than FANG. Amazon raises are trash % on base so I don’t include them.
