The wlb depends on the team, but overall, I'd say it's good. The culture has degraded into typical old school command and control with a lot of meetings and top performers being expected to do more without being compensated extra for it. I think the shutdown really freaked out the leadership, so now the focus is on saving money just about everywhere despite billions in the bank and record profits. Lots of leadership have been leaving and not getting replaced, (yet) but the guy from Disney that just came over seems promising. Overall, it's a good place to work, especially if you're on a good team and well supported by the organization, but there's a good amount of burnout across the organization, so you'll have to deal with that when working with other teams. Other places in LV are worse. MGM is among one of the better employers in town.

Thanks for the info, appreciate it.

You can probably get more. I'm at about 120k base with 1 YoE. I'd say it's team dependent, but wlb is very chill for me. Team is really helpful and no one is a jerk. Get your work done and no one micro manages you. I'm very happy with the current set up.

Thanks that’s great to hear. I asked my interviewers some questions related to wlb and answers seemed to vary. Do you mind sharing what state you’re in? I tried to get them to go higher on the TC but they wouldn’t budge. I’m working remotely from a lower col state so I think that might have been working against me.

Yea, it's probably cause of the state. I'm in CA, so my base + CoL is 118. Actual base is 95. Bonus up to 7.5 of base and CoL.
